Montreal’s Bell Centre and Boston’s TD Garden will host the inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off, Feb. 12-20, 2025, the NHL and NHLPA announced on Saturday.
Two injured Toronto Blue Jays pitchers are making progress in their recovery.
According to Sportsnet’s Arden Zwelling, Blue Jays left-handed pitching prospect Ricky Tiedemann threw two innings of live batting practice at the Blue Jays development complex in Dunedin on Friday. Tiedemann looked and felt good during the outing.
Tiedemann has been recovering from ulnar nerve inflammation that forced him onto the injured list earlier this season.
The next step for Tiedemann will be a rehab outing in Florida as he looks to return to triple-A Buffalo.
In 2023, Tiedemann threw 62 innings across three minor-league levels and the Arizona Fall League (AFL). He finished the MiLB season with a 3.68 ERA, 82 strikeouts and 23 walks.
At the AFL, he was named the Pitcher of the Year, allowing just five runs over 18 innings of work while racking up 23 strikeouts.
This season, Tiedemann pitched just eight innings in three triple-A starts before going on the injured list. He had a 5.63 ERA with 10 strikeouts and nine walks.
