Motorola recently unveiled the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and Motorola Edge 50 Fusion globally. These smartphones are packed with advanced features such as Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets and Pantone-validated displays and cameras. The Edge 50 Ultra boasts a triple rear camera setup, while the Edge 50 Fusion comes with two rear cameras. These models were released alongside the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, which made its debut in India.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro, powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, is priced at Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant in India. On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra starts at EUR 999 (approximately Rs. 88,900) and the Edge 50 Fusion is priced at EUR 399 (around Rs. 35,900). These smartphones will be available for sale in select markets across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania in the upcoming weeks. However, Motorola has not announced plans to launch these devices in India yet.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is offered in Forest Grey and Peach Fuzz shades with a vegan leather finish and a Nordic Wood pattern. In contrast, the Edge 50 Fusion comes in Hot Pink and Marshmallow Blue options with vegan leather backs and a Forest Blue variant with a PMMA finish. Both models feature impressive displays, with the Edge 50 Ultra sporting a 6.7-inch full-HD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2,500 nits peak brightness. The Edge 50 Fusion, on the other hand, features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits peak brightness.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It runs on Android 14-based Hello UI and features a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 64-megapixel telephoto shooter. The front camera boasts a 50-megapixel sensor. In terms of battery, the Edge 50 Ultra houses a 4,500mAh battery with 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.
Similarly, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It also operates on Android 14-based Hello UI and features a 50-megapixel primary rear camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. The front camera sports a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. The Edge 50 Fusion is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging support.
Both the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and Edge 50 Fusion support 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, NFC, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C connectivity options. They also feature similar biometric sensors and IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance. Additionally, the handsets prioritize security with features such as an in-display fingerprint sensor.
