Reports suggest that CMF by Nothing, a sub-brand of the UK startup founded by OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei, is preparing to launch its first smartphone. The device, identified by a new model number, has made an appearance on two regulatory websites, hinting at a potential imminent release. This news comes after the successful launch of wireless audio products, a charger, and a wearable fitness tracker by CMF by Nothing.

The rumored smartphone is expected to hit the market at an affordable price point, likely comparable to the recently unveiled Nothing Phone 2a. The device, denoted by the model number A015, was recently spotted on an unspecified regulatory website by Android Headlines. While details remain scarce, speculations are rife that this could be the upcoming Nothing Phone 3.

According to earlier reports, the Nothing Phone 3 is anticipated to feature a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip rather than a top-tier flagship processor. Notably, the same A015 model number was also sighted on the BIS India website, hinting at a possible launch in the Indian market. The distinctive model number A015 suggests that the upcoming smartphone may not be a direct successor to the Nothing Phone 2. While the earlier models bore model numbers A063 and A065, the budget-friendly Nothing Phone 2a was designated as A142. As the current most affordable handset from Nothing, the Phone 2a is priced at Rs. 23,999 in India. In contrast, the premium Nothing Phone 2 was launched at Rs. 44,999 last year.
