Sony Pictures Classics has recently acquired the hybrid docu-concert film titled “Becoming Led Zeppelin,” directed by Bernard MacMahon. This film dives deep into the creative, musical, and personal origin story of the iconic rock band Led Zeppelin. Fueled by never-before-seen footage, performances, and music, “Becoming Led Zeppelin” is being hailed as an experiential cinematic odyssey that promises to offer fans a unique insight into the band’s world.
The film was screened as a work-in-progress at the 2021 Venice Film Festival, where it garnered a 10-minute standing ovation. Since then, it has undergone further enhancements, including a brand-new sound mix and newly unearthed material from the archives of all four band members.
