Google recently introduced the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold in global markets, including India. This marks the company’s second Pixel-branded foldable phone, with the first to be officially launched in India. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is part of the Pixel 9 series, all powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chipset.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold features an 8-inch inner display and a 6.3-inch cover screen. The inner screen is an LTPO OLED Super Actual Flex panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,700nits peak brightness. The cover screen is equipped with an OLED Actual display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold boasts a versatile camera setup, including a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 10.5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. Additionally, there are front-facing cameras on both the cover screen and inner display, each with a 10-megapixel sensor.
Powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chipset and Titan M2 security coprocessor, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold offers high-performance capabilities. It runs on Android 14 out-of-the-box and is promised seven years of Android OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. The device also includes exclusive camera and editing features such as Add Me, Top Shot, Video Boost, and more.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes with 256GB of internal storage in India, with an option for a 512GB variant in other regions. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, and USB 3.2 Type-C port. The device also includes a range of sensors for enhanced user experience.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is priced at Rs. 1,72,999 in India and will be available for purchase starting from August 22. Customers can buy the device from Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, or Google-owned Walk-in Centres. The phone will be available in Obsidian and Porcelain colour options.
