Despite his illness, Brophy continued to work in the entertainment industry and left behind a legacy that will be remembered for years to come.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Brophy’s family later moved to the San Fernando Valley. He attended high school in Del Mar, California before pursuing his passion for acting at the California Institute of the Arts (Cal Arts) in Valencia. It was there that he honed his craft and prepared for a successful career in the entertainment industry.

Brophy’s most notable role was as the title character in the television series Lucan, which aired from 1977 to 1978. He also appeared in the films The Long Riders and Hell Night, showcasing his versatility as an actor. Throughout his career, Brophy had guest roles on popular television shows such as The Love Boat, M*A*S*H, Growing Pains, The Hardy Boys Mysteries, and Hart to Hart, earning him recognition for his talent and dedication to his craft.

Brophy’s survivors include his wife, Amy Prettyman Brophy, his mother Carol, brother John (Wendy), his children Kelly, Michael (Lindsey), Megan, Ryan, and grandchildren Jarrah and Saylor. His impact on both the entertainment industry and his family will be remembered and celebrated at his Celebration of Life, which will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 29, at St. Cyril’s Church in Encino, California.

Kevin Brophy’s remarkable career and lasting influence serve as a reminder of the talent and dedication he brought to his work. His contributions to both television and film will continue to be appreciated by audiences around the world, and his legacy will live on through his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace.
